The 10 year challenge: Gas Plant Edition. 

10 years ago, Jayar plant 2 came online with design rates of 50 mmscfd, 3500bbl/day condensate stabilization, and 2100 bbls/day of water handling 

Today design rates are over 120mmscfd sour gas processing, 16,250 bbls/day of condensate stabilization and 22,500 bbls/day of water handling. 

From 600hp of water injection to 3500hp.

Dual means of egress on LACTs. Two amine plants, multiple creatively used process heat exchangers, engine waste heat exchanger, and even a well placed line heater…. She’s overcome a lot of typical Montney facility challenges and done it in the framework of a low capital staged development program. 

Modifying this plant has been a testament to innovation, hard work, and constant evolution. Only made possible with collective effort of some great minds in our field operations, inspection, construction, and engineers.

It has been an incredible journey filled with challenges, breakthroughs, and even some ABSA and engineer approved hot rodding.
